These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Car Play Connect: Auto & Sync ("App"), developed and operated by ASLI BASARAN ("we," "our," or "us").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your license to use the App is also subject to Apple's applicable Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA"), which applies automatically to apps distributed through the App Store unless a custom license agreement is provided.
These Terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA by addressing functionality and conditions specific to Car Play Connect: Auto & Sync. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights or obligations that cannot legally be limited, or to override mandatory provisions of the Apple Standard EULA or applicable law.
You may use the App only if you are legally permitted to do so under the laws applicable to you. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the App only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required. The App is designed primarily for driving-related use and is not directed to children.
Car Play Connect: Auto & Sync is an independent iOS application that provides a driving-oriented interface for accessing commonly used features such as:
The App is intended to provide these features through your iPhone or iPad.The App does not itself operate, steer, brake, accelerate, or control your vehicle. It is not a substitute for your vehicle's built-in safety, navigation, infotainment, or driver-assistance systems.
You are responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle at all times.
Although the App is designed to provide a simplified driving-oriented interface, use of any mobile device while driving can cause distraction.
You must always:
Whenever possible, configure the App, choose destinations, select music or radio stations, review contacts, adjust settings, and perform other interactions before beginning your journey or while the vehicle is safely parked.
Do not type, search, browse, configure settings, or perform other distracting interactions while the vehicle is moving. Passengers may interact with the App where safe and lawful.
The availability of a feature in the App does not mean that using that feature while driving is safe or legally permitted in your location.
The App uses Apple MapKit, Core Location, and related services to provide maps, location information, routes, nearby places, and navigation-related functionality.
Maps, directions, routes, estimated travel information, place information, traffic information, positioning, and other location-related information may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or outdated. Road conditions may also change without being reflected immediately in the App.
You must not rely solely on the App when making driving decisions. Always give priority to actual road conditions, traffic signs and signals, road closures and restrictions, instructions from police and emergency personnel, and applicable traffic laws.
If information displayed by the App conflicts with actual road conditions or official instructions, follow the road conditions and official instructions.
The App is not designed or intended for:
Do not use the App in circumstances where failure, delay, inaccurate information, or loss of connectivity could reasonably be expected to cause death, personal injury, or serious property or environmental damage.
For emergencies, use the appropriate official emergency services and follow instructions provided by relevant authorities.
The App may provide access to contacts and Apple-provided system functionality that allows you to initiate calling-related actions. The App is not a telecommunications provider and does not guarantee that calls can be placed, connected, completed, or maintained.
Calling functionality may depend on your device, your mobile carrier, network availability, your calling plan, iOS services, and the permissions you grant. Normal carrier charges, roaming charges, or other telecommunications fees may apply according to your agreement with your mobile provider.
The App can start calls but cannot answer, decline, mute, or end them. Incoming calls and in-call controls are handled by iOS.
Do not search for contacts or otherwise interact with calling controls while driving where doing so may be unsafe or unlawful.
The App does not connect to your Spotify account. When Spotify is your chosen music source, the App offers a button that opens the Spotify app, or Spotify's App Store page if it isn't installed; you choose and control your music in the Spotify app itself. Your use of Spotify is governed by Spotify's Terms of Use. We do not control Spotify's availability, catalogue, or features, and Spotify may change, restrict, or discontinue its service at any time.
The App's radio feature uses the Radio Browser public, community-maintained database to list internet radio stations by country. When you select a station, the audio stream is delivered directly from the third-party broadcaster.
We do not control, curate, endorse, verify, or take responsibility for the content of any radio station, including any speech, music, advertising, or other material broadcast by a station. Station availability, stream quality, and content are determined entirely by the broadcasters and by the community-maintained database. Stations may become unavailable, change format, or stop broadcasting without notice. Some stations stream only over unencrypted HTTP.
If you choose to connect Apple Music, the App uses Apple's MusicKit framework to show your library and recently played songs, search the Apple Music catalog, and control playback. Connecting requires your permission. Playing music requires an active Apple Music subscription, as determined by Apple. Your use of Apple Music is governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We do not control Apple Music's availability, catalog, or features.
The App's podcast feature uses Apple's public iTunes Search API to find shows. Episodes are loaded from each show's public RSS feed, and audio is streamed directly from the publisher or its hosting provider. We do not control, curate, endorse, verify, or take responsibility for podcast content. Shows and episodes may become unavailable or change without notice. Following a show in the App is not a paid subscription and is stored only on your device.
Core features of the App — maps, navigation, weather, radio and podcast streaming, and Apple Music playback — require an active internet or mobile-data connection.
You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining a compatible device, a compatible version of iOS, any necessary internet connection, mobile-data service, and any third-party account required for a feature.
Your network provider may charge you for mobile-data usage, roaming, telephone calls, or other services. We are not responsible for charges imposed by your network provider or another third party. If you are not the bill payer for your device, we assume you have obtained permission from the bill payer to use the App.
Features may not function properly if internet connectivity is unavailable or unstable, location services are unavailable, required permissions are denied, third-party services are unavailable, your device or iOS version is incompatible, or your device is modified in a way that affects iOS security or normal operation.
We recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your device. Doing so removes software restrictions imposed by iOS, which can expose your device to malware and security vulnerabilities, and may cause the App to work incorrectly or not at all. You are responsible for keeping your device charged and operational; we are not responsible if the App is unavailable because your device has run out of battery or is otherwise not functioning.
The App relies on services, frameworks, APIs, or information provided by third parties. These currently include:
Apple-provided technologies used by the App include MapKit, Core Location, WeatherKit, MusicKit, the iTunes Search API, Contacts, and iOS calling and system services. Weather data is provided by Apple Weather. Your use of Apple-provided functionality is also governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
A community-maintained public API used to list internet radio stations. Audio streams are delivered directly by third-party broadcasters.
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase for pseudonymous usage analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting, as described in our Privacy Policy. Google's own terms and privacy practices apply to Google's processing of this information.
Third-party services may change, restrict, suspend, discontinue, or modify their functionality at any time. We do not control independent third-party services and cannot guarantee their continued availability, accuracy, compatibility, or performance.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
Restrictions on copying, modification, redistribution, reverse engineering, source-code extraction, and derivative works are also subject to the Apple Standard EULA and applicable law.
The App and its original content, software, interface elements, graphics, designs, organization, functionality, and other materials created specifically for the App are owned by or licensed to ASLI BASARAN, except for third-party materials, technologies, trademarks, or content.
These materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the App or our intellectual property to you. Your right to use the App is limited to the license granted under the applicable Apple Standard EULA and applicable law.
Third-party trademarks, logos, content, APIs, software, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Car Play Connect: Auto & Sync is an independent application.
The App is not Apple CarPlay, and is not developed, operated, sponsored, or endorsed by Apple Inc. It is not an official Apple product. The App does not represent itself as Apple's official CarPlay service and does not replace Apple's official CarPlay functionality.
The App is also not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or operated by any vehicle manufacturer.
Apple, CarPlay, iPhone, iOS, Apple Music, and Apple Maps are trademarks of Apple Inc. Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB. Vehicle brands and other third-party trademarks referenced in connection with the App remain the property of their respective owners. The use of third-party names or trademarks is intended only to identify compatible or relevant products and services and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
We may update, modify, improve, remove, or change App functionality from time to time. Changes may be necessary because of new iOS versions, security requirements, changes to Apple APIs or frameworks, third-party service changes, technical requirements, product improvements, or legal and regulatory requirements.
We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely or that the App will work with every future device or iOS version. You may need to install App or iOS updates to continue using some features. We may suspend or discontinue the App or individual features where reasonably necessary.
The App is currently provided free of charge. The App currently contains no paid subscription, no in-app purchase, and no third-party advertising. We do not process payments through the App.
If the App's payment model materially changes in the future, applicable information and terms will be updated before or when those changes become available, as required.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not warrant that:
Your use of the App remains subject to the warranties, exclusions, and statutory protections provided by the Apple Standard EULA and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, guarantee, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ASLI BASARAN will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use or inability to use the App.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses resulting from:
You remain responsible for your driving decisions and the safe operation of your vehicle.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights available to you under applicable law remain unaffected.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is accessed, processed, and protected. The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, and may request permissions required for features such as maps, location, contacts, and calling functionality. Please review the Privacy Policy before using the App.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the App or particular functionality where reasonably necessary, including where these Terms are materially violated, the App is being misused, continued operation presents a security risk, continued operation would violate applicable law, required third-party services become unavailable, or the App is discontinued.
Any provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Türkiye.
This does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside, including any right to bring proceedings in your local courts where applicable consumer-protection law provides that right.
These Terms are not intended to restrict rights provided to you by mandatory consumer-protection or other applicable laws. If a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory legal right that cannot be waived, that mandatory legal right will apply.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. The applicable Apple Standard EULA continues to govern the license granted through the Apple App Store.
We may update these Terms from time to time because of changes to the App, its functionality, third-party services, applicable law, or technical and security requirements.
When the Terms are updated, the Last Updated date at the top of this document will be revised. Where required by applicable law, material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate method. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These Terms, together with the applicable Apple Standard EULA, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms expressly presented for a particular feature, constitute the terms applicable to your use of the App, subject to mandatory applicable law.
